An introduction to our research

Sydney 9 July 2019

The CEPAR Mature Workers research team hosted around 50 representatives from industry, not-for-profits and government organisations at an afternoon tea event in Sydney.

Attendees had the opportunity to hear from one of our chief investigators, Professor of Gender and Employment Relations, Prof Marian Baird AO, who in 2018 was named in Apolitical’s Top 100 Most Influential People in Gender Equality list. They also heard from two of our key researchers, Dr Daniela Andrei from Curtin University and Dr Andreea Constantin from the University of Sydney.

The afternoon tea allowed for shared practical insights into the challenges associated with an increasingly mature workforce. Guests were also introduced to our research model and the benefits of collaboration, including tailored policy reviews, data collection, analysis, feedback, and intervention support. We were also able to share some preliminary results from our recent national benchmark survey on mature aged workers.

Following from the afternoon tea, there has been a lot of interest from attendees about the research and the opportunities to collaborate with us.
